Veterans in the Lewiston area will have the opportunity to connect with a range of support services this week when the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center hosts a health resource fair on Wednesday, May 20.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lewiston VFW Post, 1104 Warner Ave. Attendance is free and open to veterans seeking information on available programs.
Services Available at the Fair
Veterans who attend can expect to find resources covering a broad spectrum of needs, including behavioral health services, social work support, women’s health programs, enrollment assistance, and community care options. Transportation assistance and homeless support services will also be represented.
Organizers are encouraging veterans to arrive prepared with questions and to take full advantage of the agencies and representatives on hand. The fair is designed to help veterans understand what programs they may qualify for and how to access them.
