The Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport will host a TSA PreCheck enrollment event August 18–21, bringing expedited security screening eligibility directly to the Lewis-Clark Valley.
The event will take place at 406 Burrell Avenue in Lewiston. IDEMIA, an authorized enrollment provider for the Transportation Security Administration, will conduct the in-person applications and process fingerprints for qualified applicants.
TSA PreCheck allows enrolled passengers to proceed through airport security lines without removing shoes, belts, light jackets, or laptops, and to keep liquids in carry-on bags. Membership remains valid for five years at a cost of $76.75.
Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents. Attendees must bring valid identity documents, proof of citizenship or lawful residency, and be prepared to provide fingerprints and a passport-style photo during their appointment. Payment of the enrollment fee is required at the time of enrollment.
The airport recommends completing the online application portion before arriving for the in-person appointment to streamline the process. Interested travelers can register for a specific appointment time through the TSA PreCheck enrollment website.
For regional travelers who fly regularly from Lewiston or connecting airports, TSA PreCheck membership can significantly reduce time spent in security screening. The program has expanded enrollment options across Idaho in recent years to increase accessibility for residents in smaller markets.
