Lewiston High School will hold a free sports physical clinic this Wednesday, May 27, giving student athletes a no-cost opportunity to meet Idaho High School Activities Association physical requirements ahead of the 2026-2027 school year.
The clinic runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the high school and is open to students in grades 6 through 12. Medical providers from TriState Health will conduct the exams on site at no charge to families.
Students entering grades 6, 7, 9, and 11 are required to have a current sports physical on file as part of the athletic registration process. Physicals completed at Wednesday’s clinic will satisfy IHSAA requirements for all school sports — fall, winter, and spring seasons included.
The partnership between Lewiston High School and TriState Health gives families a convenient, free alternative to scheduling a separate physician appointment. Students planning to try out for any sport during the coming academic year are encouraged to take advantage of the clinic before the fall season registration period gets underway.
With Lewiston’s athletic programs gearing up for competition in the Cascade Conference, getting physicals completed early ensures student athletes face no delays when tryouts and registration open. Lewiston High student-athletes have drawn recognition at events well beyond the Lewis-Clark Valley, and keeping participation paperwork current is the first step toward another strong year of competition.
What Comes Next
Students and families who miss Wednesday’s clinic should contact the Lewiston High School athletic office to arrange a sports physical through a primary care provider before the fall sports registration deadline. IHSAA-compliant physicals must be on file before any student is cleared for participation.
